Getting a job as a Makeup Artist on a porn studio…?

Soooo, ahead of time I’ll apologize in case I didn’t categorize this right, I really had no idea where to put it.. O.o

The best way to find out is first hand. Do a little digging in the industry. If you really want to work in a porn studio, you have to get involved in that industry. It will help you if you learned how to find out when, where etc. the the shoots are.

Meet with people in the industry, and even ask them to be a job shadow or understudy. You will most likely start off with no pay, and bringing coffees, but it is a start. From there you can get to know the stars, directors and make connections. Connections is key, because if they like you they will let you know of jobs. If the pornstar likes you she/he may ask you to do do their make-up and hair in a situation where they would have to do it themselves.

Definitely create a portfolio. A good cheap way to do this is to meet up with a student photographer who needs to build their portfolio, and a model who needs to build theirs as well.
